Three Hundred Years Later - An Introduction to the Blogosphere

Three hundred years ago, when St. Paul's Rock Creek Parish was founded, there were certainly no thoughts of creating a blog, nor a facebook page, nor a twitter account.  Yet on the verge of 2012 to not have these 'social media tools' is to be out of touch with the remainder of our culture.  Hence, this blog, along with our other pages (facebook and twitter) are attempts to better communicate with our community, both within the church (ie. Parishioners) as well as those outside (i.e., visitors).  Inasmuch as this blog is a glorified electronic calender, it is also a place for our parishioners and leaders to voice there opinions about our life as a church, neighborhood, and nation; these collective responses overtime will hopefully contribute as a testimony to our wonderfully rich history.

Thus follow this blog, officially (clicking the follow button) or unofficially (checking back often) expecting to find something new: an event to attend, a piece of history, a theological reflection, or any other musing one might imagine - but of course do so at your own risk!
